
Foster Grandparents give one on one daily attention to children and youth with special needs at schools and other non-profit agencies. Foster Grandparents must be at least 55 years of age and meet income guidelines* to serve and be willing to volunteer minimum of 20 hours a week.

For over thirty years, throughout the United States, Foster Grandparents have served children of all ages who are in great need of love, devotion, and individual attention.
Foster Grandparents assist children in a variety of settings such as schools, hospitals, shelters, HeadStart, and juvenile detention centers. In 2008, 58 Volunteers from the Tuscaloosa area contributed 37,000 hours of their time and love.
